Thinking about coaching?
Hi!
However you found yourself here, welcome.
Maybe someone has suggested coaching to you.
Maybe you're curious.
Or maybe your parent has sent you this page and you're really not that keen.
Fair enough.
Whatever it is, here’s what I’d want you to know first.

🌿I’m not here to fix you
Being neurodivergent doesn’t mean there is anything that needs fixing.
But it can mean you feel a little out of step with the world around you.
Maybe you know you’re capable, talented and have lots to give, but there are some things that somehow seem much harder than they “should” be.
Maybe you spend a lot of energy trying to fit in, get things right or keep up with what everyone else seems to find easy.
Maybe things affect you deeply.
Maybe people see what you can do, but don’t always see how much effort it takes.
I know that feeling.
I grew up neurodivergent too (I'm Autistic and ADHD).
For me, that meant struggling to feel as though I fitted in, being perfectionistic and feeling emotions really strongly. But everyone is different. My way of coping wasn’t always great but that’s because I didn’t really understand why I struggled to feel at ease so much of the time.
I didn’t understand my brain then in the way I do now.
And understanding brings such relief. My children are neurodivergent too, so I’ve seen first-hand how important it is that they understand themselves.
It isn’t someone else telling you what to do.
It’s a space to understand yourself better.
We might explore what helps you feel like yourself, what gets in your way, what drains your energy, what you’re brilliant at, and what makes certain things harder than they need to be, how certain situations make you feel and what we might do about that.
The point is to understand your brain. What can be genuinely challenging and what can what has the potential to be really exciting about divergent thinking.
Then we can work out what actually helps.
🌿You get a say in this...
If we work together, this is something we explore together.
You don’t need to know exactly what you want to talk about or what you want to change.
We can work out what feels difficult and why, what matters to you and what might actually help.
You can tell me if something doesn’t feel useful, ask questions or disagree with me (I actually rather like that!).
The aim isn’t to change you.
It’s to help you understand yourself better, recognise what you need and find ways of doing things that work for you.
🌿Before you go...
Whether you decide coaching is something you want to explore or not, I’d like to leave you with one thing:
Get curious about how your brain works.
Being neurodivergent can bring genuine challenges, but that isn’t the whole story. There are also real strengths in how we think, see, learn and connect with the world divergently.
There are neurodivergent people all over the world doing brilliant things in all areas of life, not because they have somehow “overcome” their neurotype, but because they’ve learned more about themselves and found ways to work with it and harness its strengths.
If nothing else, take a look at my guide to neurodivergent strengths and see what resonates with you:
