I’m Charlotte, a specialist teacher, former school leader, neurodivergence specialist and mum to neurodivergent children. I care deeply about getting education right for our children.
Although I started my career as a corporate lawyer, I have worked in education for over 15 years. I have worked across both state and independent schools, from class teacher to head of department and latterly in senior leadership, supporting a wide range of learning needs and educational pathways. Through these two rewarding careers, and as a parent to neurodivergent children, I’ve learnt that the most important thing in education and in life is having the confidence to live by your own definition of success.
I now support children, young people and families to find their own definition of success educationally and personally by understanding and maximising their natural strengths and how their brain works. Drawing on both professional expertise and lived experience, I work closely with families and schools to ensure that each child receives the understanding, provision and opportunities they need to thrive.

Reclaiming the Narrative and Thriving with SEN
If we, as parents and educators, are able to better understand and meet the needs of neurodivergent children, we're taking that first step to shift the narrative from what's 'wrong' to what's possible.
The book explores how to make this shift, drawing on guidance from the DfE, insights from the ongoing Curriculum and Assessment Review, and research from the WEF and BPS. It also references influential thinkers such as Dr Gabor Maté, Sir Ken Robinson and Dr Becky Kennedy, and highlights how alternative models, including Global Academy, apprenticeships and alternative provision, offer powerful sources of inspiration.
Knowing what can be done and how to meet the needs of our children is key - once we know better, we can do better.
Take a look and become better informed about meeting neurodivergent children's needs.
